About: I call the Georgia coast home, but I've lived in Athens with my husband, Mike, and our three home-schooled cats since I retired from the Navy.

I belong to several writers groups in Athens, first and foremost being a Harriette Austin Writer and a SouthernScribe. With the help and support of my writers groups, I completed my first published mystery, UNDER THE LIBERTY OAK, which to my amazement was nominated for a GAYA this year. I seem to spend most of my time on the road marketing and doing book-signings, but I need to sit back and refocus on the next book.

When not writing, I do volunteer work with the homeless and medically indigent population in Athens. I garden with my eighteen-month-old grandaughter and I spoil my cats.

I'm glad that the Georgia Writers Association provides an opportunity to unite writers from all over the state. It serves not only as a great network- but also a resource.
